We are seeking an AWS Application Architect to design, modernize, and optimize cloud-native
applications on AWS. This role focuses on application architecture, microservices design,
modernization of legacy systems, best-practice implementation, and ensuring secure, scalable, and
cost-efficient application solutions on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement cloud-native applications using microservices, containers, and serverless
patterns.
• Develop modernization strategies for legacy monolithic applications migrating to AWS.
• Architect API-driven and event-driven application patterns using API Gateway, EventBridge,
SNS/SQS, and Step Functions.
• Define application-level scalability, performance, security, and cost-optimization best practices.
• Lead architecture reviews, design patterns, and reusable components for engineering teams.
• Support application integration with AWS services (RDS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, S3,
etc.).
• Re-architect monoliths to microservices or modular distributed systems.
• Build containerized application platforms using Docker and Amazon EKS/ECS.
• Design serverless-first architectures using AWS Lambda, Fargate, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and
DynamoDB.
• Modernize CI/CD application delivery workflows using AWS CodeSuite or GitHub Actions.
DevOps & Automation (Application-Focused)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for application development and deployment (CodePipeline, GitHub
Actions, Jenkins, Harness).
• Automate application environment provisioning using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Define deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags) for zero-downtime releases.
• Support application logging, metrics, API analytics, and distributed tracing (CloudWatch, X-Ray,
Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
Security & Compliance
• Apply application security best practices (IAM, Secrets Manager, Cognito, KMS, VPC security).
• Support compliance requirements such as SOC2, PCI-DSS, or HIPAA through secure architecture.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years in software engineering or cloud application architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, databases, and
security.
• Strong experience in Java /.NET Core / Python microservice development and architecture.
• Expertise in Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and serverless architectures.
• Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Requirements
Nice to Have
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud application architecture.
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent collaboration with development, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead architecture discussions.
