B2B Sales Manager: Interior Design & Trades
Location: Chicagoland (Remote, Full-Time)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8–5 or 9–6 CST; occasional evening networking
Behind the Design is growing. We’re hiring a full-time, single-brand B2B Sales Consultant to own the sales cycle end-to-end—prospecting, discovery, closing, and ongoing relationship management—within the luxury window treatment and interior design space.
What You’ll Get- Year 1 projected earnings: $120-150+
- Base Salary+ Uncapped commission on high dollar average sales

- Prospect interior designers, firm owners, and trade decision-makers remotely and in person
- Run high-value discovery calls; position consulting & recruiting solutions
- Represent the brand at networking events, trade shows, and national conferences
- Prospect via local travel at least monthly to meet goals; long distance travel will be quarterly
- Partner with marketing on talks, workshops, and content-driven demand
- Manage your pipeline in the CRM from lead gen through contract & invoicing
- Maintain consistent follow-up with past clients and new leads (calls, email, social)
- Hit and exceed monthly closed-won targets
- 3+ years B2B sales with a proven track record of hitting goals
- Hunter–farmer who converts: prospecting, nurturing, and closing come naturally
- You have experience selling in window treatments or another interior design niche OR you've sold 3rd party consulting or recruiting services
- Confident leading high-ticket consultative conversations
- You're dedicated to this role as your primary position
- Excellent communicator; comfortable networking and public speaking
- Organized, resilient, goal-driven, and collaborative; adept with remote tools/CRM
