Job Summary

The BDR Operations Manager at Candescent plays a critical role in driving the performance, scalability, and operational excellence of the Business Development (BDR) organization. This role blends sales strategy with operational execution, serving as the connection between go-to-market teams, systems, and frontline BDR activity.

The BDR Operations Manager must have a deep understanding of our sales processes, methodologies, and best practices. This role will help support the operational infrastructure and enablement programs that equip the BDR team to execute at a high level.  They will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Field Marketers to strategize campaigns, refine processes and align team efforts.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Process & Operations

  • Create, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the BDR organization
  • Design, build, and optimize BDR outreach cadences and sequences aligned to campaign and pipeline generation goals
  • Develop target account lists for campaigns and prioritize high-potential leads

Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and analytics to track BDR performance, pipeline contribution, and key KPIs
  • Analyze team performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and drive process and strategy optimization

Enablement & Team Development

  • Own BDR enablement, including onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop training content and programs
  • Drive team engagement and performance through initiatives such as competitions and incentive programs

Technology & Systems

  • Manage and optimize sales tools, ensuring system performance, adoption, and alignment with team needs
  • Evaluate and recommend new sales and marketing technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in sales operations, revenue operations or a related role preferably supporting a BDR or SDR organization
  • Proven experience building and optimizing outreach cadences and sequences
  • Hands-on experience developing reporting dashboards and analyzing sales performance
  • Proficiency with sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce
  • Familiarity with sales intelligence and prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Clear and effective communicator with experience working cross-functionally
  • Self-starter who can operate independently and drive projects to completion

  • The BDR team has a scalable operational foundation — documented processes, optimized tooling, and structured cadences — that supports consistent execution and growth
  • Performance data is accessible, accurate, and actively used to identify gaps and inform strategic decisions
  • BDR reps are fully enabled and equipped — ramping faster, performing at a higher level, and supported by a tech stack that works
