A Billing Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting the smooth operation of the company’s billing processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently with both internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities
    •    Prepare and issue invoices to customers based on company procedures and contract terms
    •    Review billing data for accuracy and completeness before submission
    •    Track payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and assist with collections when needed
    •    Maintain organized billing records and update customer account information
    •    Process adjustments, credits, and refunds as approved
    •    Assist with reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving customer questions
    •    Collaborate with accounting, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth billing operations
    •    Generate regular financial and billing reports for management
    •    Support month-end closing activities related to billing
    •    Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

Requirements
    •    High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or business is a plus
    •    Previous experience in billing, accounting, or administrative roles is preferred
    •    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
    •    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    •    Good communication and customer service skills
    •    Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and billing software
    •    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
