About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
This role is critical to maintaining clean books, supporting leadership with timely reporting, and helping the business operate efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with accounting software and financial systems.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions (accounts payable and receivable)
Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan statements
Maintain and update general ledger accounts
Process vendor bills and payments
Issue invoices and track incoming payments
Assist with payroll processing (if applicable)
Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
Assist CPA or tax preparer with year-end reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
2–5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar)
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Experience with account reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in a small business or growing company environment
Familiarity with payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, OnPay, etc.)
Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location businesses
Experience preparing 1099s and assisting with sales tax filings
Accurate and up-to-date financial records
On-time monthly close process
Clean reconciliations with minimal adjustments
Strong communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
Leadership has clear, reliable financial reporting for decision-making
