Quartermaster is seeking a full-time brand designer to support brand creation, brand transition, and marketing work across both client accounts and our internal brands. This position is hybrid, onsite in our Chicago office three days a week, but we are also open to remote work for strong candidates outside of the Chicago area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop compelling, culturally attuned visual identities that bring new and existing brands to life across all touchpoints.
  • Create and produce high-quality graphic design solutions, from concept to completion, for a wide range of digital and print applications, including brand identity, websites, social media, promotional materials, presentations, packaging, and interactive environments
  • Develop, own, and adhere to brand standards for our entertainment, CPG and B2B clients
  • Act as brand advocate to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all graphic applications
  • Coordinate with creative, marketing, and strategy teams to generate innovative ideas while ensuring design solutions meet client objectives and align with overall brand strategies
  • Manage multiple projects at once while owning the delivery of design outputs
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and design standards to inform and inspire fresh, relevant brand visuals
  • Organize and manage a comprehensive library of brand assets, templates, and guidelines for easy accessibility across the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in brand design (or related role), ideally within an agency environment with a portfolio showcasing a variety of relevant projects
  • Visual storytelling skills with a clear understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and branding principles
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong command of the Google Suite of collaborate applications, particularly Google Slides
  • Familiarity with Figma in the development of website designs and UX
  • Thrives in a fast-paced agency setting with the ability to multitask and remain extremely detail-oriented while committing to high-quality design standards
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt and evolve creative solutions based on feedback and brand objectives
  • Enthusiasm for creative development, ideation, and brainstorming, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations and deliver visually appealing, on-brand designs
  • Deep understanding and awareness of aligning consumer goals and business goals
  • Light animation and video editing capabilities preferred
