We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team for a critical platform modernization project. You'll be instrumental in replacing our legacy system with a new, cloud-native solution. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements, ensuring the new platform is scalable, maintainable, secure, and operationally efficient. This role requires a strong understanding of data ingestion, cloud technologies, and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities Discovery & Analysis

  • Analyze the current platform and its data flows to understand existing functionalities and pain points.
  • Inventory and assess existing components and data sources, including key data files.
  • Gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders to define detailed specifications for data ingestion and processing pipelines.
  • Define technical and operational tasks required for data ingestion and the decommissioning of legacy components.
  • Analyze data requirements and mappings for both new and existing data sources.
  • Develop a robust Reconciliation System to ensure data parity between the legacy and new platforms

Planning & Execution

  • Create and manage the agile backlog, including user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop a comprehensive delivery roadmap with clear milestones, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement a scalable and secure cloud-based data ingestion platform.
  • Support the phased migration plan to minimize business disruption during the transition.
  • Participate in the parallel run of both legacy and new systems to validate functionality and data accuracy.
  • Assist in the creation of documentation and training materials for support teams to ensure a smooth transition.

Quality & Handover

  • Validate that the new system meets all defined acceptance criteria for real-time and batch processing, security controls, and operational enhancements.
  • Verify that logging, monitoring, and alerting are functional and meet project requirements.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate, accessible, and up to date for knowledge transfer.
  • Obtain sign-off on the handover checklist from engineering and support leads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technical or data-centric project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, specifically public cloud services (e.g., storage, compute, serverless, monitoring).
  • Familiarity with data ingestion, data pipelines, and database concepts.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with legacy systems and data migration projects is a significant plus.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD  36,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 126,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is not available for independent contractors
No applications will be considered if received more than 120 days after the date of this post
