Business Analyst – Retail Energy

The Role
As a Business Analyst specializing in Retail Energy, you will support clients in delivering transformation initiatives across the energy sector. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, gather and translate requirements, and bridge the gap between business and technology teams. This role requires strong analytical capability, industry knowledge, and the ability to deliver high-quality consulting outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate client workshops and meetings to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
  • Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and process models to support solution design
  • Analyze current and future state processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into solutions
  • Produce high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations, and consulting documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within Retail Energy
  • Experience with CIS/Billing, EDI, Customer Care, or energy retail products (C&I or Mass Market)
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in consulting or professional services environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Computer Science, or similar

  • Experience across broader energy domains such as wholesale, settlements, or utilities
  • Exposure to business case development and consulting methodologies
  • Familiarity with data modeling or basic scripting
  • Experience contributing to reusable consulting assets (e.g., templates, frameworks)
