As our Business Analyst, you will serve as an intermediary between R1’s business users, customers and data developers. Every day you will maintain the highest standards of data quality, enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the development of proactive monitoring and alerting features.  To thrive in this role, you must be detail-oriented, have strong SQL skills and act as a subject matter expert of R1’s Data Platform Architecture.  

 

Here’s what you will experience working as a Business Analyst: 

  • Identify and analyze data quality issues, providing actionable insights or identifying new product features for resolution 

  • Develop and configure complex SQL queries for data monitoring and alerting tools 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Product Manager to understand specific use cases and data requirements 

  • Work with large datasets in various formats and perform data integrity checks, QA, and data reconciliation for client patient accounting systems 

  • Perform data analysis to support proactive issue identification and resolution 

  • Work with internal customers to deliver accurate analysis and interpretation of data 

 

Required Skills: 

  • 2+ years of healthcare data experience is required, with understanding of data privacy regulations such as HIPAA 

  • 2+ years of data analysis experience is required, with a focus on data quality 

  • Experience with Revenue Cycle Management is desired 

  • Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail 

  • Advanced SQL Experience (complex queries, data transformations, etc.) 

  • Proficiency in Python, Databricks and GitHub preferred 

  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools such as SSIS, ADF, or Talend is a plus 

  • Understanding of on-prem data systems such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL is a plus 

  • Understanding of healthcare interface technologies such as HL7, FHIR and X12 EDI is a plus 

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $47,237.00 - $78,919.86 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%
