Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst (IC) to support analytics and reporting for Value‑Based Care (VBC) programs, with a focus on Medicare and Specialty/Chronic Care populations. This role is a senior individual contributor responsible for delivering high‑quality, reliable analytics that inform financial performance, provider outcomes, and strategic decision‑making.

The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare analytics experience, translates complex data into clear insights, and operates effectively in a regulated, audit‑sensitive environment. This is not a people‑management role.

This role is eligible for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex analytics and reporting used to monitor performance for Value‑Based Care programs.
  • Define and own metric logic, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with Medical Economics, Actuarial, Clinical, and Network stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable analytics.
  • Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and documentation of analytic processes.
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through standardization, automation, and process improvement.
  • Support new program initiatives by designing scalable analytic solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, business analytics, medical economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex analytical work from requirements through delivery.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and data environments such as SQL, SAS, Python, Excel, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Medicare, Value‑Based Care, ACOs, or other risk‑based reimbursement models.
  • Familiarity with medical economics concepts, attribution models, quality measures, and provider performance analytics.
  • Experience working in regulated or audit‑sensitive environments.
  • Experience supporting Specialty or Chronic Care populations.
  • Exposure to modern or cloud‑based data platforms.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in analytics, economics, statistics, business, public health, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience is required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
