Location: United States (100% Remote – EST hours) | Hybrid in Indianapolis preferred
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in a full-time consulting capacity supporting our largest healthcare client. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and successful delivery of digital solutions. Strong experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements in user stories using Gherkin format with clear, testable acceptance criteria is required.
This is a full-time, salaried consulting position offering comprehensive benefits, a strong PTO package, and paid holidays. While 100% remote candidates aligned to EST work hours will be considered, hybrid support in Indianapolis is preferred.
Position OverviewThe Business Analyst will act as a strategic bridge between business and technical teams, translating high-level business needs into detailed, testable requirements that drive successful software development outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunction as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams
Analyze business requirements and create user stories in collaboration with Product Owners, engineers, and QA analysts
Correlate business requirements with system requirements and technical capabilities
Assist in high-level project planning and ensure requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with agile team members to define detailed acceptance criteria
Ensure delivered digital assets meet defined acceptance criteria and customer expectations
Assist the agile team with smoke testing
Contribute to documentation required to support web application deployment
Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding challenges, successes, and current project status
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of business analysis experience within software development environments
Self-driven and motivated, able to function both independently and within a team
Experience serving as a bridge between Business Product Owners and software development teams to achieve shared understanding of business goals
Strong experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements in user stories using Gherkin format with clear, testable acceptance criteria
Ability to identify both functional and non-functional requirements for digital applications
Experience creating user stories, features, and epics
Proven ability to translate high-level business concepts into detailed user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria
Strong communication skills to close gaps and ensure mutual understanding between business and technical teams
Practical understanding of agile principles and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
Collaboration with QA analysts to validate detailed acceptance criteria
Experience assisting Product Owners in tracking requirements through completion
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying and driving process improvements
Scrum Certification
