Business Development Associate — Power Systems & Energy Software
Location: Remote (India)
Full-Time
Experience 2- 5 Years

About Us:
Blue Ripples Technologies builds the software infrastructure that power-systems, DER, and energy-market platforms run on — working with utilities, DER hardware companies, and energy software vendors across the US and Europe. We're a small, fast-moving team with an ambitious multi-year growth plan, expanding across new customer segments, new products, and new geographies.

The Role:
We're looking for someone with genuine energy and a real instinct for connecting with people —someone who can build our pipeline, keep our outreach sharp and consistent, and, over time, become one of the faces that carries our name into the market. This is not a role where you sit
behind a screen running scripts. We want someone who's naturally curious about the people on the other end of every email and call, who follows up because they're genuinely interested in the conversation, not just the metric.

Day to day, you'll own the engine behind our growth — outbound prospecting, qualification, CRM discipline, event and conference follow-up. But this is a role with real room to grow: as you build credibility with prospects and partners, you'll get pulled into actual customer and partner conversations — in India and, over time, in Europe. We've found the right person for this role is hard to find locally, so we're open to hiring remotely, anywhere in India, for the right fit.

What You'll Do

• Build and run outbound prospecting across our target customer segments
• Utilities, DER and hardware companies, energy-software platforms, and energy-service consultancies in the US, EU, and India
• Qualify leads, manage pipeline handoff from first contact through to a scheduled discovery call, and keep our CRM genuinely useful, not just filled in
• Build real relationships with our referral and consultant network, industry association contacts, and event connections — this is as much about who you know and how you follow up as it is about outreach volume
• Represent us at conferences and trade shows — actively prospecting on-site (not just following up afterward), capturing leads, and building the relationships that turn into meetings later
• Own our content presence: turn raw material from our team — a case study, a conference takeaway, a quick conversation with an engineer — into consistent LinkedIn posts and other content and keep our publishing calendar alive. You're the one making sure our story actually gets told regularly, not writing deep technical thought-leadership from scratch.
• As you grow into the role: join discovery calls and early-stage customer conversations, in India and eventually Europe, alongside our presales and domain teams
• Bring ideas — if you spot a better way to reach a segment or a partner we should be talking to, we want to hear it

Requirements
What We're Looking For

Must Have:

• Genuine energy and curiosity about people and business — you should enjoy the process of finding and building a relationship, not just executing a checklist
• Strong written and verbal communication in English — you'll be writing outreach messages, follow-ups, and short content pieces regularly
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting tools (LinkedIn, email sequencing, CRM) or a fast learner if you haven't used these specific tools before
• Able to work as part of a broader outbound and lead-generation effort — you'll often be picking up a conversation partway through, qualifying it, and carrying it forward, not always starting cold yourself
• Self-starter — this is a remote-friendly role, so you need to be someone who drives their own day without needing constant oversight
• Some exposure to B2B sales, business development, or client-facing work
• The exact industry doesn't matter as much as the instinct

Nice-to-have:
• Any exposure to the energy, utility, industrial, or infrastructure sectors
• Experience working with or alongside international (US/EU) clients or partners
• Comfort writing short-form content (LinkedIn posts, newsletters, event recaps) — you don't need to be a professional writer, but you should enjoy shaping a message
• A track record of building a genuine professional network, not just a contact list

Benefits
What We Offer

• A real growth path — this role is designed to expand into customer- and partner-facing work as you prove yourself, not stay static
• Remote flexibility — work from wherever you're most effective, with a team that already operates across geographies
• Direct visibility with the CEO and the leadership team from day one — this is a small company where good work gets noticed fast
• Competitive compensation (base + performance incentive), scaled to experience — we'd rather find the right energy and adjust the level than screen out a great fit on years alone
