Researches and prospects e-commerce and consumer-brand clients through outbound channels, builds relationships with decision-makers, conducts discovery and sales meetings, and supports proposals, negotiations, follow-up, and closing. Maintains the sales pipeline, meets new-business and revenue targets, develops partnerships and referrals, and collaborates with internal teams on client solutions. The role is remote and focused on growing Dobby’s U.S. business.
Dobby is a 50-person creative services company with a US entity, helping e-commerce and consumer brands create high-performing product imagery, videos, Amazon A+ content, storefronts, websites and other digital creative.
We’re looking for a smart, motivated Business Development Associate who can help us build relationships with brands and grow our presence in the US.
What You’ll Do
- Research and identify potential e-commerce, Amazon, DTC, and consumer brand clients.
- Prospect and reach out to potential clients through email, LinkedIn, networking, and other outbound channels.
- Build relationships with founders, marketing teams, and e-commerce decision-makers.
- Understand client needs and introduce relevant Dobby creative and digital services.
- Schedule and participate in discovery calls and sales meetings.
- Support the sales process from initial outreach through proposal, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Work closely with the Dobby team to develop proposals and solutions for prospective clients.
- Meet agreed new-business and revenue targets.
- Identify potential partnerships and referral opportunities within the e-commerce ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Account Executive, Partnerships, or Client Acquisition roles.
- Experience with e-commerce, Amazon, DTC, Shopify, digital marketing, creative agencies, or other digital services is preferred.
- Experience with outbound prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
- Good understanding of the B2B sales process.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable speaking with founders, business owners, and marketing decision-makers.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
- Experience using LinkedIn and CRM or sales tools is preferred.
Preferred, But Not Required
- Experience selling services to e-commerce or consumer brands.
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon A+ Content, Storefronts, Shopify, or digital marketing services.
- An existing network within the e-commerce or digital services ecosystem.
