Job Description

The BDE will be responsible for new, key account, acquisition and personal quota attainment. This role is expected to target new customers who can substantially benefit from the company's end-to-end vision and offering portfolio, as well as maintain an in-depth understanding of competitive conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements. The role of a BDE is characterized by using the company's offerings to solve a complex combination of human capital issues relating to technology, business, supply chain, and financial verticals. As such, he or she will work closely with key team members and executives to formulate recruiting strategies to establish ongoing business relationships with new, key customer accounts. It is critical for the BDE to be a tenacious pursuer of target accounts, an astute business person, have exceptional business insight, show executive/boardroom presence, utilize effective negotiation practices, and have outstanding judgment.

The BDE will be directly responsible for identifying and securing customers that can utilize the company's offerings so that the organization can meet its growth expectations including:

  • Focusing on target accounts that can drive profitable revenue generation
  • Researching target accounts and maintaining a deep understanding of business and technology trends required to secure them and their human capital impact
  • Accessing and building executive level/decision maker relationships to secure target accounts
  • Determining and leading the optimal strategy to enter into a business relationship with target account

    Responsibilities for the Business Development Executive
  • Developing relationships with IT directors, Vice Presidents and CIOs
  • Develop the target account relationship, providing regular account updates and gaining a deep understanding of the target account’s business
  • Create value for target accounts and establishing a trusted advisor relationship that works to ensure a successful business relationship with our company
  • Act as a face of the company to target accounts
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company's  services and effective use of key subject matter experts
  • Forecast at an account level and achieve target account growth targets
  • Leverage target account relationships developed in the course of business for additional prospect references
  • Participate in contract negotiations, prioritize, and drive resolution on contractual issues as required to secure a tenable customer relationship
  • Travel (as needed) to customer meetings and networking events 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, 7+ year's successful background in IT Search, IT Executive Search, IT Recruiting, or Outside IT Software Sales.  

Must be able to manage, lead and influence others.

Managerial experience a plus.
