What’s exciting about the role

This is a true hunter sales role focused on driving new enterprise‑level customer acquisition for Verifone’s gateway solutions, with a strong emphasis on card‑present payments and in‑store commerce environments.

You will own the full sales lifecycle—from identifying and prospecting large enterprise merchants and partners, through solution positioning, negotiation, and close. The role sits at the intersection of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, hardware, and in‑store commerce, making it highly visible and strategically critical to Verifone’s growth.

The scope and level of this role are flexible; Verifone is open to hiring at the Director or Vice President level, depending on experience, network, and demonstrated impact in enterprise payments sales.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Hunting and closing net‑new enterprise logos
  • Selling gateway and merchant acquiring solutions, particularly in card‑present environments
  • Engaging senior executive, commercial, and technical stakeholders
  • Partnering cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Solutions teams
  • Representing Verifone at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Skills and experience we desire
  • Proven success in hunter‑style enterprise sales, with a track record of closing complex, high‑value deals
  • Deep experience with payment gateways and merchant acquiring, ideally within card‑present or omnichannel environments
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including acquirers, processors, networks, and in‑store payment flows
  • Experience selling to large enterprise merchants, retailers, or platforms
  • Ability to lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers
  • Executive‑level communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment with significant autonomy
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and industry events
