We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive on behalf of one of our clients, a growing professional services organization. This individual will be responsible for driving new business growth, developing prospective client relationships, and converting qualified opportunities into long-term partnerships.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in relationship-driven, consultative sales and is skilled at understanding a prospective client's needs, challenges, and priorities to recommend tailored solutions. This role requires someone who is comfortable developing new relationships, engaging with key decision-makers, managing a strong pipeline, and owning the sales process from initial outreach through close.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through outreach, referrals, networking, events, and other business development activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospective clients' needs, challenges, priorities, and goals
  • Utilize a consultative, solutions-focused sales approach to recommend services based on each prospective client's unique needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and close
  • Consistently work toward established business development and revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and sales activity within applicable systems
  • Monitor market trends and client needs to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support a seamless transition from prospective client to active client
  • Represent the organization at conferences, networking opportunities, and industry events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners and other external stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, prospective opportunities, and business development results
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and business objectives


Requirements Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success generating new business and meeting or exceeding revenue or sales goals
  • Experience with consultative, solutions-based selling, including assessing prospective client needs and positioning tailored services or solutions
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
  • Experience developing relationships with senior leaders, executives, and other organizational decision-makers
  • Experience selling professional services, consulting services, or other complex solutions preferred
