Job Description
Job Summary:
- Responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new corporate clients within the Group Wholesale Banking segment through consultative sales of UOB’s Commercial Cards and Merchant Acceptance solutions. Also accountable for managing newly onboarded clients, ensuring seamless implementation and maximizing solution adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new clients across Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, MNCs, and Global Financial Institutions.
- Deliver solution-based pitches tailored to client needs, focusing on Commercial Cards and Merchant Acceptance offerings.
- Manage a portfolio of newly acquired clients, overseeing end-to-end solution implementation and driving product utilization.
- Build deep client understanding to identify opportunities and deliver value-added solutions.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate tracking and timely reporting.
- Ensure high service standards and client satisfaction to foster long-term relationships.
- Meet individual sales targets as set by the Team Lead.
- Comply with all regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of business development or sales experience in financial services, preferably in transaction banking, commercial cards, merchant solutions or payments.
- Proven track record in acquiring and managing corporate clients across segments such as SMEs, large corporates, MNCs and financial institutions.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business development and client acquisition skills, with a consultative approach to selling.
- Good understanding of commercial card products, merchant acceptance solutions and the broader payments landscape will be an advantage
- Ability to identify client needs and translate them into tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams to drive implementation and adoption.
- Self-driven, resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
