Business Development Representative (BDR) - Inbound

Location: Remote, strong preference for Salt Lake City area

Job Type: Full-Time

Summary

SafetyChain Software is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Manager of the Business Development Team, this role will play a key role in lead generation by engaging with prospective buyers to convert their interest into opportunities and set qualified appointments for the regional sales team.

Do you like to solve problems in a fast-paced environment? Love collaborating with colleagues to help customers? Like the idea of a flexible, autonomous work environment to get the job done the way you like to work? This may just be what you are looking for – let’s get into the details!

About Us

SafetyChain is a rapidly scaling B2B SaaS provider revolutionizing plant management for Food and Beverage manufacturers by improving yield, maximizing productivity, and ensuring compliance. Our impressive client base includes renowned brands like Albertsons, Clif Bar, Tyson Foods, and Whole Foods. Join a dynamic, collaborative team driven by innovation, agility, and rapid growth.

We are a remote-first company. While this role is primarily remote, there may be occasional opportunities to collaborate in person or work from our [City] office approximately once a week—typically for team meetings, training, or focused call sessions. This is completely optional and flexible based on your location and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Inbound Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a critical role in moving prospective buyers through the sales funnel. You will engage with inbound leads—primarily Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)—as well as manage recycled leads and re-engagement opportunities. Your focus will be to qualify prospects, nurture early interest, and set high-quality appointments for our Account Executives.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to break into software sales, supported by a collaborative team and a strong marketing engine.

  • We’ll provide the tools, training, and support to help you hit these numbers confidently.
