SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Business Development Representative (BDR) drives our company's growth by acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence. This inside sales role will focus on lead generation, qualification, and conversion, working closely with our existing sales team to achieve revenue targets. This role is crucial in ensuring that ePac continues to acquire new customers to expand its US market share. The BDRs will learn essential sales skills and develop packaging expertise.  The BDR is responsible for achieving weekly set performance targets or KPIs. Successful Business Development Representatives will be eligible to apply for Sales Executive and Account Manager roles at ePac.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


Lead Generation & Cultivation:

  • Engage in outbound calling to initiate contact with prospects
  • Manage and follow up on inbound leads
  • Independently identify and generate new leads through research, networking, and outbound calls/emails.
  • Qualify leads and set up meetings with potential customers and experienced sale executives

Customer Acquisition:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers.
  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments for sales team members.
  • Understand customer needs and present appropriate flexible packaging solutions.
  • Close sales and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and acquisition targets.

Sales Process Execution:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Executives to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Represent the ePac brand in a positive manner.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Participating in partnership and problem solving sessions, as well as product line trials with existing/new customers


JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills: Must have ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, communicate sales targets and objectives, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in sales: Must be motivated to develop and refine sales skills, with an orientation towards setting & achieving ambitious targets
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address potential issues or challenges that may arise in the sales process. A proactive approach to problem solving, aiming to prevent issues rather than simply cure problems after they occur is a must. In addition - a disciplined, structured approach to work, demonstrating organizational skills in planning, documenting, and keeping to agreed schedules, combined with the ability to respond to evolving objectives and work in an agile delivery environment is necessary for success. 
  • Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is vital for success. This involves understanding customer needs, providing exceptional customer service, and developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. 
  • Adaptability and resilience: Must be able to adapt to changing market conditions, overcome obstacles, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills are a must
