Our next-gen suite of website engagement and AI sales assistants streamline the buying process for prospects and automate repetitive tasks for sales teams, driving higher conversion rates and increased NOI. Our unique blend of groundbreaking technology and deep industry expertise have made us the most widely adopted AI toolset in the market, used by over 5,500 communities to generate over $2.8 billion.

The Role

At FURTHER, we're helping senior living and healthcare organizations connect with the people who need them most. We're looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and play a key role in building relationships with potential customers. We need someone who excels at prospecting and has proven cold-calling expertise. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of converting cold calls into meetings, along with excellent communication skills. Beyond managing standard outreach campaigns, you should be skilled at crafting personalized, compelling emails to connect with prospects.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for prospects, sparking meaningful conversations and setting up high-quality meetings for our Account Executives. If you're a strong communicator, naturally curious, and love the challenge of engaging decision-makers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You'll report to the VP of Sales and be an essential part of our growing sales team.

What You’ll Own

  • Research and identify potential clients through industry trends, company profiles, and decision-maker backgrounds to build a targeted list of high-value prospects matching our ideal customer profile

  • Conducting outbound email and phone outreach to connect with potential customers

  • Building relationships with decision-makers to understand their needs and introduce FURTHER's solutions

  • Partnering with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads

  • Developing thoughtful, relevant outreach strategies for target accounts

  • Managing prospect conversations and optimizing outreach using CRM and sales tools

  • Achieving and exceeding outreach and lead generation goals

  • Creating and documenting scalable processes for lead qualification and AE handoffs

  • Building the foundation for our sales development function and helping shape best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 3 years in a SDR or BDR role doing outbound outreach vs just inbound

  • A proactive and thoughtful approach to outreach—you know how to engage people in a way that feels personal and valuable

  • Clear and compelling communication skills—you're confident in both writing and conversation

  • A professional yet warm and engaging presence—you're comfortable connecting with senior sales and marketing leaders

  • Experience in sales development, particularly in small to mid-sized business outreach

  • A team-oriented mindset—you enjoy collaborating with Account Executives and working toward shared goals

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills—you keep track of conversations and follow-ups with care

  • A growth mindset—you're always looking for ways to improve and refine your approach

  • Experience reaching out to VPs of Sales and Marketing is a plus

  • Process-oriented thinking with the ability to create and implement new systems

  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in an early-stage environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience with sales and marketing automation tools, CRM platforms, or lead generation technologies

  • Background in marketing technology or selling into sales and marketing teams

  • Previous experience in a startup or high-growth sales environment

  • Experience building sales development processes from scratch at an early-stage company

  • Track record of training or mentoring other sales development representatives

Compensation

Our openings span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is $60,000 -$80,000 USD base/ $70,000-$100,000 total OTE. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as location, work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and more.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.
