Position Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving the growth of the company by generating new business opportunities and qualifying leads for the sales team.
The BDR will primarily focus on outbound prospecting, making cold calls, sending emails, and engaging with potential clients. The role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and the ability to identify and engage high-potential prospects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Generation:
- Conduct research to identify potential leads and new business opportunities.
- Generate outbound leads through cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Qualifying Leads:
- Qualify prospects by gathering relevant information, understanding their business needs, and determining their readiness to engage with the sales team.
- Maintain and update lead databases, tracking engagement and progress.
- Collaboration with Sales Team:
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.
- Schedule meetings or product demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers.
- Market Research:
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify new potential markets and sales strategies.
- CRM Management:
- Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track and manage outreach efforts, leads, and follow-ups.
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Regularly update progress on lead generation, conversions, and outreach efforts.
- Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly lead generation and qualification goals.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Persistence and the ability to overcome objections.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
