Department OverviewBy joining the Motorola Solutions Legal team, you will play a vital role in helping our public safety and commercial customers obtain the essential products and services they need for the moments that matter.
Our team supports the full lifecycle of innovation and business efforts at Motorola Solutions. This includes our product legal team analyzing new offerings, our finance team managing rate analysis and legal spend, and our legal operations team developing the policies and practices integral to our success.
Job Description
The Business Operations Analyst evaluates, develops, and analyzes business processes and data methodologies to generate insights and enhance cost-effective standard operating procedures. This role audits existing procedures for compliance and effectiveness while ensuring operations support the organization's strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze complex business problems and recommend optimal solutions.
Develop and implement reports, dashboards, and advanced data visualizations in Tableau for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Fulfill ad-hoc data analysis requests using Excel, Google Sheets, and other manipulation tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop long-term strategies.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and use Tableau Prep for data transformation.
Perform data cleansing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy.
Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and design streamlined solutions.
Establish KPIs and develop robust performance metrics and reporting frameworks.
Present findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in business operations or data analytics.
Proficiency in Tableau and SQL, supported by strong critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal guidance.
Strategic mindset capable of identifying and solving root-cause problems.
Excellent communication skills, high data literacy, and intellectual curiosity.
Organized, results-oriented, and flexible in an ever-changing environment.
Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 USD
