IMC is growing its business strategy team. The qualified individual will develop and implement strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC's Chicago leadership and Strategy team, the global Management Board, and the Global Business Strategy head in Amsterdam.
Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Support identification and definition of strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC leadership to help IMC achieve its rapid growth ambitions over the next years.
  • Enable change to happen and drive real business impact by supporting the execution of defined priorities.
  • Lead or become involved in specific projects relevant to the business and have a "seat at the table" with IMC Chicago's leadership team.
  • Develop a perspective on industry trends/developments as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Become a member of the business strategy team, locally and globally.
  • Report to the Director of US Business Strategy in the Chicago office.


Your Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Consultant at a top-tier consulting firm (minimal level of engagement manager/manager/project leader) or equivalent experience in an internal strategy/business development role within Financial Markets
  • Strong quantitative background in physics, math, econometrics, and related fields is preferred
  • Previous or current exposure to the financial services industry (developed either as a consultant or within prior roles) is a plus
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

With market interactions occurring quickly — “fractions of seconds," per Li — her team moves swiftly to see the impact of their efforts in the field. "We're the end user of our own technology, so we have a quick feedback loop that enables us to iterate much faster," she said.

If I ship code today, I can expect it to enter production the next day and can even get some analysis from traders on the technological and monetary impact it has made.
