At Oscilar, we're building the most advanced AI Risk Decisioning™ Platform. Banks, fintechs, and digitally native organizations rely on us to manage their fraud, credit, and compliance risk with the power of AI. If you're passionate about solving complex problems and making the internet safer for everyone, this is your place.

Why Join Us?

  • Mission-driven teams: Work alongside industry veterans from Meta, Uber, Citi, and Confluent, all united by a shared goal to make the digital world safer.

  • Ownership and impact: We believe in extreme ownership. You'll be empowered to take responsibility, move fast, and make decisions that drive our mission forward.

  • Innovate at the cutting edge: Your work will shape how modern finance detects fraud and manages risk.

Role Overview:

The Business Value Strategist is the most commercially strategic role at Oscilar. You sit at the intersection of strategy, financial services, AI, and executive decision-making. From the first executive conversation with a prospective customer through deployment, expansion, and renewal, you own the business value narrative.

You will partner with prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders to quantify, articulate, and realize the business impact of Oscilar's AI Risk Decisioning platform. From initial discovery through expansion and renewal, you will help organizations understand how modern risk infrastructure drives measurable outcomes across fraud prevention, compliance, credit decisioning, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.

This is not a traditional consulting role and it is not a finance role. It is a highly strategic, customer-facing position focused on translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business cases that resonate with executive decision-makers.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Finance, and Operations while building the frameworks, methodologies, and value narratives that help define how Oscilar communicates impact across the customer lifecycle.

You operate with the analytical rigor of a management consultant and the ownership mindset of a startup operator.

What You’ll Do:

Value Discovery & Executive Advisory

  • Lead executive discovery workshops with prospects and customers across Fraud, Credit, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Risk teams.

  • Uncover business pain points, operational inefficiencies, growth constraints, and strategic priorities that can be addressed through Oscilar's AI Risk Decisioning platform.

  • Establish baseline performance metrics and success criteria used to quantify business outcomes and ROI.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders including CFOs, CROs, Chief Compliance Officers, Heads of Fraud, and Operations leaders.

  • Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes that resonate with executive decision-makers.

ROI Modeling & Business Case Development
  • Build customized ROI assessments, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, value realization frameworks, and financial models for prospective and existing customers.

  • Quantify business impact across fraud loss reduction, approval rate optimization, onboarding efficiency, operational cost savings, compliance automation, and revenue growth.

  • Develop board-ready business cases that support investment decisions and accelerate enterprise buying cycles.

  • Create scalable value calculators, benchmarking tools, and economic impact frameworks that can be leveraged across the revenue organization.

  • Partner closely with Solutions Engineering and Sales to support strategic opportunities.

Value Realization & Customer Growth
  • Partner with Customer Success and Technical Account Management teams to ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes after deployment.

  • Design and execute value realization programs that track performance against original business objectives.

  • Produce executive business reviews highlighting realized ROI and strategic recommendations.

  • Identify expansion opportunities by uncovering additional workflows and business units that can benefit from Oscilar.

  • Support renewals and growth initiatives through documented proof of business value.

AI-Powered Analysis & Thought Leadership
  • Proficient using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms to accelerate research, financial modeling, data analysis, and executive presentation development.

  • Leverage AI as a force multiplier to identify trends, uncover insights, and improve the speed and quality of customer-facing deliverables.

  • Contribute to thought leadership content including benchmark reports, whitepapers, webinars, customer success stories, and industry research.

  • Stay at the forefront of AI adoption trends, value realization methodologies, and emerging best practices within financial services.

Product Intelligence
  • Synthesize insights across customer engagements to identify common challenges, emerging market trends, and opportunities for innovation.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to refine value frameworks and benchmark assumptions using real customer outcomes.

  • Provide structured feedback that influences product roadmap priorities and go-to-market strategy.

  • Serve as the voice of customer business outcomes across the organization.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years in management consulting, value engineering, strategic advisory, corporate strategy, business operations, or a similar customer-facing analytical role.

  • Experience at a leading consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, EY-Parthenon, Oliver Wyman, Kearney, or similar is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record of building and delivering quantitative business cases, ROI models, and executive-level recommendations.

  • Deep understanding of financial services operations, particularly fraud, compliance, AML, credit risk, payments, or underwriting.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

  • Comfortable working with data, performance metrics, and operational KPIs to support strategic decision-making.

  • Hands-on experience using LLMs and AI tools for practical problem solving, research, analysis, and content development.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions.

  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment where ambiguity is high and ownership is expected.

Benefits and Other Perks:

  • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including 401(k).

  • Health: 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents (U.S.).

  • Balance: Unlimited PTO policy.

  • Culture: Family-friendly environment with regular team events and offsites.

  • Development: Accelerated professional growth alongside industry leaders.

  • Impact: Make the digital economy safer by protecting online transactions.
