Job Description

The Sr. Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's Repair Services procurement activities. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, sourcing and negotiating contracts with service providers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of success in procurement.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations, Strategy Execution:

  • Execution of the Global Repair Services Strategy.

  • Supplier Management: Handle supplier management, including ownership of supplier relationships.

  • Sourcing: Conduct RFQ exercises, cost negotiations, and project awards.

  • Contracting: Lead contract negotiations.

  • Escalation: Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation issues for internal operational teams.

  • Financial Performance: Continually pursue cost efficiencies and achieve annual cost reductions.

  • Solution Sourcing: Manage the supply chain by sourcing, reviewing, and procuring Repair Services solutions.

  • Vendor Selection: Evaluate, select, and recommend new vendors to management.

  • Market Analysis: Study market trends and identify risks when sourcing and procuring service commodities.

  • Budgetary Oversight: Ensure that project-approved budgets are adhered to.

  • Issue Resolution: Resolve vendor disputes and any category-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar field.

  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in supply chain or commodity management.

  • Legal Knowledge: Knowledge of contract law and regulations.

  • Management: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work with various departments.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

  • Market Knowledge: Solid knowledge of financial markets influencing service and commodity pricing.

Location: Employee must be based in the Greater Chicago Area with the expectation to be in office 3 days per week.

Target Base Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $160,000.00

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar business field

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations or commodity management

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
