Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief of Schools to join a growing organization. This executive leader will oversee multiple networks and play a critical role in driving instructional quality, principal effectiveness, and equitable outcomes.

You will serve as a key connector between strategy and implementation. This opportunity is ideal for a transformational education leader with a strong instructional background, a systems mindset, and a deep commitment to equity and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in education
  • At least 3–5 years in a senior instructional leadership role (e.g., principal supervisor, network chief, executive director, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience leading and supporting senior staff
  • Demonstrated success improving outcomes at scale
  • Experience using performance data to drive decision-making
  • Provide strategic oversight and support to networks and leaders
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate principals to improve instructional leadership and performance
  • Ensure consistent implementation of academic initiatives and policies
  • Use data to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with central office departments to align academic, operational, and support services
  • Support improvement planning for underperforming schools
  • Foster strong relationships with families, communities, and internal stakeholders

Experience Preferences:

  • Experience in a large, urban, or diverse environment
  • Background overseeing multiple regions
  • Experience supporting turnaround or improvement efforts
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, culturally responsive leadership, and inclusive practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a professional office environment
  • Regular travel to meetings and administrative
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking visits
  • Ability to attend evening or extended meetings as needed

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field/ equivalent work experience.

Education Preferences:

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
  • Administrative or principal certification
  • Doctorate (EdD or PhD)
