The CJA / Adobe Web SDK Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data collection and event instrumentation that powers analytics, reporting, and personalization use cases across Adobe Experience Platform. This role focuses on Web SDK deployment, event modeling, data quality, and integration with downstream analytics and activation platforms.
You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, data engineers, analytics teams, and platform architects to ensure reliable, governed, and performant data flows that support Customer Journey Analytics and broader Adobe Experience Cloud initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesWeb SDK Implementation & Event InstrumentationImplement and configure Adobe Web SDK for web and digital experience data collection
Design and deploy event instrumentation aligned with business and analytics requirements
Validate event payloads, identity capture, and data collection accuracy
Maintain versioning, documentation, and governance of tracking implementations
Map digital interactions to XDM schemas and field groups
Configure and manage datastreams, tags, and environment promotion workflows
Ensure accurate identity and consent signals are captured and passed downstream
Optimize data capture strategies for performance and maintainability
Enable data flows into Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics
Support integrations with RTCDP, AJO, and other downstream consumers
Provide consistent data interfaces supporting reporting, segmentation, and personalization use cases
Collaborate with platform teams to align collection with enterprise data models
Monitor event data quality, completeness, and schema adherence
Troubleshoot collection gaps, duplication, latency, or identity issues
Implement governance and consent enforcement within collection configurations
Ensure observability and validation practices are embedded in deployment workflows
Partner with frontend, analytics, and data engineering teams on instrumentation strategy
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to collection standards
Support CI/CD-style deployment workflows for tags and configuration changes
Produce documentation for tracking plans, mappings, and implementation decisions
Hands-on experience implementing Adobe Web SDK
Experience with Adobe Experience Platform data collection and datastream configuration
Experience supporting Customer Journey Analytics datasets and reporting readiness
Strong understanding of digital analytics instrumentation practices
XDM schema mapping and event modeling
Understanding of identity capture and linkage strategies
Data quality validation and governance awareness
Familiarity with consent and privacy signal handling
Experience working within collaborative delivery workflows and version control practices
Familiarity with deployment lifecycle management for data collection/tagging environments
Strong troubleshooting and validation skills
Experience working within Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystems
Exposure to RTCDP or Journey Optimizer integrations
Understanding of event streaming or real-time data ingestion concepts
Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics implementations
Accurate and scalable Web SDK implementations
Clean, high-quality event data powering analytics and activation
Strong alignment between instrumentation, schemas, and reporting needs
High confidence from analytics and platform teams in data reliability
