The Non-Investment Grade Fixed Income Client Portfolio Specialist serves as a critical link between the firm’s Non-Investment Grade Investment team and its clients (both internal and external), acting as a subject matter expert in Non-Investment Grade fixed income (Bonds, Loans, and CLOs). This role demands a technical understanding of credit markets and an ability to effectively communicate investment processes, performance, and market insights.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience and a proven track record of supporting portfolio management in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the Global Head of Fixed Income Client Portfolio Management.

Responsibilities:

To promote Neuberger Berman’s Fixed Income strategies, specifically Non-Investment Grade credit (inclusive of Bonds, Loans and CLOs)

  • Partner with internal departments at Neuberger (Marketing, Collateral Management, Product Development and Management, Performance Analytics and Legal & Compliance) to maintain and evolve the articulation of our investment approach, process, and active management identity.

  • Partner with the RFP Department to ensure accurate, well written responses to existing product language & help in crafting new language where necessary.

  • Work with Neuberger Sales & Marketing teams to translate complex fixed income strategies and active positioning (e.g., duration management, credit selection, yield curve positioning) into digestible insights for clients and internal stakeholders

  • Provide thought leadership by contributing to market commentary, white papers, and client-facing materials. 

  • Think strategically about positioning the firm’s Non-Investment grade Credit fixed income platform – develop market analysis, provide input into new product ideas.

  • Overall - lead all non-investment related responsibilities for Non-Investment Grade products and solutions. 

  • Work with the Fixed Income Client PM/Specialist team to support strategic Fixed Income platform initiatives. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in an equivalent role

  • Demonstrated and proven experience within a Product Specialist or Client Portfolio Management function. 

  • Asset Management industry experience required.

  • Demonstratable expertise in Credit products, in particular HY Bonds, Loans, and CLOs

  • Bachelor’s Degree essential & CFA or equivalent degree preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and spoken.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$135,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
