The Role
Presidio Cloud Enterprise Architect, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the organization's cloud strategy. You will design robust and scalable architectures and drive innovation through cloud technologies. Your expertise will enable the organization to leverage the full potential of cloud computing, ensuring improved efficiency, agility, and competitiveness in the digital landscape. 

As a Cloud Enterprise Architect within the Modern Platforms group at Presidio, you'll take the helm in guiding our clients through their cloud journey, whether they're starting from scratch in a green field scenario or already have an established cloud presence. This pivotal role demands a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each design not only meets our customers' specific requirements but also adheres to industry-leading best practices and standards. Responsibilities include:

• Cloud Strategy Development:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and objectives. Define the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business strategies. Identify opportunities to leverage cloud services for improved efficiency, agility, and cost savings. Assess and recommend suitable cloud platforms, services, and deployment models.

• Cloud Solution Design and Architecture:
  Architect and design cloud-based solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools. Design integration patterns for seamless connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  Plan, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security components. Optimize resource allocation, scalability, and cost efficiency. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. Implement automation and orchestration tools for efficient cloud infrastructure management. Stay updated with emerging cloud services, features, and industry trends.

• Security and Compliance:
  Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures. Design and enforce access controls, identity and access management, and data protection mechanisms. Ensure designs are compliant with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Conduct cloud security assessments and vulnerability scans. Stay current with evolving security threats and implement appropriate security measures.

• Cloud Integration and Migration:
  Assess existing IT systems and develop strategies for migrating to the cloud. Plan and execute the seamless integration of on-premises systems with cloud-based solutions. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during migration. Define and implement data synchronization, replication, and backup strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions during the migration process.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as developers, operations, and business units. Provide technical guidance and leadership on cloud architecture and best practices. Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge sharing on cloud technologies. Build and maintain relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors.

• Cloud Governance and Compliance:
  Establish a cloud governance framework, policies, and procedures. Define standards and guidelines for cloud solution development and deployment. Monitor and enforce compliance with established governance policies. Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track cloud performance, usage, and costs. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.

• Cloud Strategy Development:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to define a cloud strategy aligned with business objectives. Identify opportunities for cloud adoption to enhance efficiency and agility. Recommend suitable cloud platforms and deployment models to meet organizational needs.

• Cloud Solution Design and Architecture:
  Architect cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Ensure scalability, security, and compliance in cloud architectures. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies and integration patterns.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  Plan and manage cloud infrastructure to optimize resource allocation and scalability. Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues for high availability. Implement automation tools and stay up to date with emerging cloud services.

• Security and Compliance:
  Develop and enforce cloud security policies to ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA. Implement access controls and conduct security assessments to mitigate risks. Stay updated with evolving security threats and measures.

• Cloud Integration and Migration:
  Assess and develop migration strategies for seamless integration of on-premises systems with the cloud. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security throughout the migration process. Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions.

• Collaboration and Communication:

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• 7+ years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. 

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions. 

• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

• Proficiency in cloud architecture design principles and best practices. 

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure components in the cloud. 

• Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools. 

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. 

• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Architect are desirable.
