TITLE: Cloud Senior Network Engineer 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in designing, building, and supporting (KTLO) all aspects of networking in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building new regions and deploying configurations leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts to streamline delivery and ensure consistency. This includes building new VPN tunnels, VIPs, Virtual Networks, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring the reliability and stability of our environments. The role requires a proactive mindset to identify areas of improvement such as processes, capacity, observability, and alerts to detect issues before they impact our customers. Cross-team collaboration with customers and customer success is essential for achieving success.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid networking solutions (VNETs, subnets, peering, VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, NSGs/NSAs, firewalls).
  • Lead network architecture and infrastructure planning for cloud migration and modernization projects.
  • Manage and optimize network routing, load balancing (e.g., Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, F5, NGINX), DNS, and traffic flow in cloud environments.
  • Implement security controls and compliance configurations, including network segmentation, traffic inspection, and encryption in transit.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to automate network deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor cloud network performance and troubleshoot issues across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Provide escalation support for networking-related incidents and changes.

 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:   

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area 
  • 6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Network Engineer with deep exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS:

  • Strong expertise in cloud networking concepts and services (e.g., Azure VNETs, AWS VPCs, Transit Gateway, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, BGP, IPsec, and other network protocols.
  • Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar appliances in cloud or hybrid setups.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, GitHub Actions).
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and firewall rule sets.
  • Networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking) are a plus.
  • Current Microsoft Certified Professional desired
  • Network + certification desired.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional desired.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) preferred.
  • Exposure to container networking (Kubernetes CNI, service meshes) desired.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale network migrations or multi-cloud deployments desired.

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.

For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:

  • 138,700 – 198,200: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City–Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan areas
  • 132,200 – 188,800: Candidates living in Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia metropolitan areas, or in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Vermont
  • 125,700 – 179,500: Candidates living in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oregon, or Wisconsin
  • 111,200 – 173,900: For all other U.S. locations

This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.

Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
