The Cloud Solutions Architect must be a highly skilled and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will play a crucial role in driving the success of our sales efforts by providing expert guidance and technical support to our sales team and customers. This person will leverage their in-depth understanding of Azure services and solutions to deliver compelling product demonstrations, contribute to the success of Proof of Value engagements, and ensure that our current and future customers understand and appreciate the value that WEKA’s cloud-native storage platform will provide to their business.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Azure Subject Matter Expert for WEKA’s Product team
  • Be an advocate for WEKA customers, and help drive the future success of WEKA in Azure by driving roadmap activities, prioritizing features and deliverables 
  • Work closely with with the R&D teams, and build prototypes and integrations within the Azure ecosystem based on WEKA’s products
  • Evangelize Neural Mesh by WEKA for Azure across the industry, including at conferences, and directly to prospects, customers, and the partner community
  • Promote Azure best practices and successful outcomes throughout the WEKA sales organization
  • Develop relationships with customers and partners to understand customer needs better and expand the reach of the WEKA Azure solutions
  • Collaborate with sales teams on strategies to help ensure the business value of WEKA in Azure is understood throughout the sales campaign and realized upon implementation
  • Participate in sales campaigns in a technical architect role, leading the consultative sales process, analyzing account needs, and helping to develop solutions that exceed their expectations
  • Actively participate and lead in Proof of Value engagements for WEKA in Azure to help ensure successful outcomes
  • Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and demos
  • Become an SME on WEKA and its ecosystem
  • Occasionally provide assistance to the WEKA Customer Success organization

Requirements:

  • Deep Expertise in Azure services, ecosystem, and operations
  • Hands-on experience is a must
  • Strong general understanding of Cloud operating models
  • Experience in migrating workflows from On-premises to Azure
  • Background in the storage aspect of Cloud workflows and the challenges associated with moving large volumes of data into the public cloud
  • Experience with Hybrid operating models that leverage the public cloud for some of an overall workflow
  • Outstanding business acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proven ability to add positive value to consultative multi-skilled teams consisting of customers and partners
  • A determined customer service orientation, a strong sense of initiative, a positive attitude, and a collaborative working style
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment and continuously re-prioritize while maintaining a constant focus on driving successful outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • Experience with HPC Storage and/or Software Defined Enterprise NAS Platforms – an advantage
  • Prior experience in working at a start-up company - an advantage
