Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced CMS Architect to lead the design and implementation of a content management system (CMS) for our global digital platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CMS platforms, a strong understanding of digital content strategy, and the ability to create scalable, flexible, and user-friendly solutions. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the globe, including content creators, developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure that the CMS meets the needs of a diverse, global audience.
Key Responsibilities:
CMS Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural design of the CMS, ensuring it meets global business requirements, supports multilingual content, and is scalable for future growth.
Platform Selection & Customization: Evaluate, select, and customize CMS platforms (such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, WordPress, etc.) to align with business needs and technical requirements.
Integration: Design and oversee the integration of the CMS with other systems, including CRMs, e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and content delivery.
Content Strategy: Collaborate with content strategists and stakeholders to develop a content model and taxonomy that supports efficient content creation, management, and distribution across multiple channels.
Performance Optimization: Optimize the CMS for performance, including implementing caching strategies, load balancing, and efficient data storage solutions to ensure a fast and reliable user experience.
Security & Compliance: Ensure that the CMS adheres to security best practices and complies with global data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in CMS best practices, coding standards, and platform-specific development techniques.
Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, front-end developers, and content creators to ensure the CMS delivers a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Governance: Establish governance models for content management, including user roles, permissions, workflows, and approval processes.
Documentation & Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the CMS architecture, configurations, and processes. Provide training and support to content authors, developers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software architecture and development, with at least 5 years focused on CMS platforms and content management solutions.
In-depth knowledge of one or more CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, WordPress, Drupal) including architecture, customization, and integration.
Strong experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant back-end technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, PHP).
Experience integrating CMS platforms with other enterprise systems, such as CRM, DAM, analytics, and e-commerce solutions.
Expertise in optimizing CMS performance, including strategies for caching, load balancing, and content delivery network (CDN) integration.
Strong understanding of web security practices and data protection regulations, with experience implementing secure CMS solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
