Ensures organizational coding procedures and standards comply with applicable requirements. Reviews coding compliance, provider documentation, medical billing processes, insurance procedures, and privacy laws related to medical coding under the direction of the Coding Manager.
Under the direction of the Coding Manager, the Coding Compliance Specialist will ensure compliance with the organizations coding procedures and standards.
QualificationsExtensive knowledge of coding compliance, provider documentation, and the medical billing process. Intermediate knowledge of insurance company processes, Federal and State privacy laws understanding as they relate to medical coding. Basic typing, reading and comprehension skills.
