What does a Commercial Account Executive at CoderPad do?

CoderPad helps companies hire with confidence. As the global leader in technical interviewing, serving 4,000+ customers across 165+ countries, we're transforming how organizations evaluate talent and make better hiring decisions.

We're entering an exciting new chapter, expanding beyond technical hiring and embracing AI to transform both our products and how we work.

As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll be responsible for winning new business, building relationships with Talent Acquisition and Engineering leaders, and helping companies modernize their hiring processes.

This is a true hunter role. You'll own the full sales cycle, from generating pipeline to closing deals, and leverage AI and modern sales tools to work smarter, move faster, and deliver results.

We are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our Net New Sales team. This is a remote, US-based role reporting to our Net New Sales Manager, with the expectation that you work East Coast (Eastern Time) hours.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the full sales cycle: Prospect, qualify, demonstrate, negotiate, and close new business opportunities within commercial accounts.
  • Build your own pipeline: Execute creative, targeted outbound strategies across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate new opportunities.
  • Leverage AI to sell smarter: Use AI-powered tools to research accounts, personalize outreach, improve sales workflows, and accelerate pipeline generation.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations: Engage Talent Acquisition, Engineering, and business leaders to understand their hiring challenges and demonstrate CoderPad's value.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Development, and other teams to identify opportunities, execute campaigns, and improve conversion.

  • Own your results: Consistently achieve pipeline generation, activity, and revenue targets while maintaining strong deal discipline and accurate forecasting.
  • Help shape our future: Bring customer insights, competitive intelligence, and new ideas to help improve our products, sales processes, and go-to-market strategy.

What you should bring:

  • 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 1 year in a closing Account Executive role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • A true hunter mentality: You enjoy prospecting, creating opportunities from scratch, and taking ownership of your pipeline and results.

  • AI fluency and curiosity: You're excited to experiment with AI tools, incorporate them into your daily workflows, and continuously find ways to improve your effectiveness.
  • Strong consultative selling skills: You can uncover customer challenges, engage multiple stakeholders, articulate business value, and confidently navigate deals from discovery to close.
  • A collaborative, team-first approach: You bring energy, accountability, and a willingness to share what works and learn from others.
  • An entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset: You thrive in fast-moving environments, take initiative, embrace feedback, and are comfortable testing new approaches.

Benefits for You

We are a geographically distributed company. We entrust every team member – personally and professionally. If you enjoy working with a diverse group that truly values team collaboration, we are interested in hearing from you.

While these benefits are specific for full-time US-based employees, qualified candidates from other countries may be considered at CoderPad. All of the benefits below may not apply depending on an employee's country of residence and employment type, though appropriate compensation and benefits will still be offered.

• Medical coverage from day one: CoderPad pays 85-90% of employee premiums (90% on the HDHP plan), plus up to $9,000 in HRA funding on the HDHP plan
• Dental and vision: 100% covered for you, up to 80% for dependents
• Company-funded life, short-term and long-term disability coverage
• 401K with profit sharing. You get the company contribution even if you don't contribute yourself
• Unlimited PTO (we expect at least 3 weeks a year) plus 20 company holidays
• Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (primary) or 12 weeks (secondary) with full pay, benefits and equity vesting
• Remote-first, with a $300 monthly stipend for home office and work expenses
• Wellness perks: Headspace, One Medical and more through Cigna
• Stock options (4-year vesting), competitive salary and growth opportunities
And more…

CoderPad is committed to hiring the best talent. To work at CoderPad, employees must have the permanent and unrestricted right to work in their country of residence without needing present or future sponsorship from the company. If you meet this requirement, all applicants will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran or disability status. Our goal is to be a diverse team that represents a variety of backgrounds and perspectives and a culture where everyone feels included.

Research has shown that women and people of color are less likely than others to apply for a role if they do not meet 100% of the qualifications. Please know that we would still love to hear from you even if you feel you only are a 75% match. We promote a diverse and inclusive culture at CoderPad.
