Role Overview:

Could you be our next Commission Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Commission Analyst to join the team!

The Commission Analyst will be responsible for calculating, adjusting, and processing sales commissions for thousands of agents. The Analyst will answer queries, research problems as needed, and explain how the commission is calculated. The role will be troubleshooting the root cause of a problem, if necessary, and taking corrective actions if needed, in order to ensure accurate pay. The position is also responsible for the accounting & auditing of commission accounts.

This is a remote/work-from-home position.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain commission database including all entry and maintenance of data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of commissions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit requirements.
  • Perform accurate and detailed audit of commission statements in accordance with requirements.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly commission processes.
  • Explain commission calculations and answer questions related to payouts, including timing, form of payout, commission percentages, etc.
  • Perform analyses of commission disputes, identifies, research, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  •  Enhance current processes by developing deeper understanding of the commission process.
  • Assist with answering questions about 1099's and general 1099 preparation.
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned.

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent number of year’s analytical experience. 
  • Experience with sales compensation calculations and reporting.  
  • Experience working in insurance industry a plus. 
  • Experience using SSMS/similar database tools and/or writing SQL queries a plus 
  • Experience with Varicent Incentive Compensation Tools or other compensation tools (i.e. Xactly, SAP Callidus) a plus. 
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy is required. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication with the ability to tailor the message based on the audience.
  • Tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to respect confidential information. 
  • Ability to be very organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • High emotional IQ, adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & ability to be a quick learner. 
  • Basic Microsoft Excel/Basic Access skills.
