Entrata is looking for a proactive, high-ownership Compliance Analyst II to join our Compliance team. In this role, you won't just be "checking boxes"; you will be the boots-on-the-ground expert responsible for auditing and testing the regulatory frameworks that power our industry-leading platform. Working in lockstep with our Product Counsel, you will validate that our software solutions meet complex regulatory standards while maintaining the speed of innovation. Responsibilities
- Execute rigorous testing of product frameworks to ensure they align with the directions provided by Product Counsel. You will be the primary validator of our regulatory "safety net".
- Utilize AI tools (including generative and agentic AI tools) to streamline compliance workflows, analyze regulatory documents, and automate recurring audit tasks.
- Maintain and monitor licenses related to Money Services Business (MSB) and Insurance, ensuring all filings and operational requirements are met without friction. Including managing and responding to state regulators as necessary.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to operationalize legal advice, ensuring compliance is "baked in" to the Entrata platform from day one.
- Assist in the ongoing development of internal policies that reflect our commitment to ethical business practices and evolving state/federal laws.
- Assist in curating and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base for customers regarding industry related laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in utility management compliance or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools or technologies in a professional setting (e.g., automation, data analysis, or agentic workflows) to drive measurable improvements in efficiency or outcomes
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within multi-family utility management services.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed relationship management and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to quickly learn new relevant industry, legal, and regulatory information, and apply knowledge to specific issues or situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment related to sensitive matters.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload with strict deadlines in a highly autonomous environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as G Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the software, technology, or SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with property management and real estate operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in compliance software tools and platforms (Jira, Legiscan, etc.).
