Andromeda is a market and infrastructure platform to buy, sell, and operate compute.
We believe demand for compute will grow exponentially. So fast that a handful of vertically integrated providers won't be able to scale across operations, capital, supply chains, and politics to serve it. The result is a massive wave of fragmentation, with AI factories of every shape and size coming to market to fill this demand. Our job is to enable all of that fragmented compute to flow through one platform, delivering reliable capacity to model builders, research labs, and inference providers when they need it. We believe every spare electron should be made productive for AI and we're building the platform that makes that possible.
We sit at the center of three forces:
Companies that need reliable, high-performance compute fast
A fragmented global supply of GPUs across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and independent data centers
Capital, risk, and operational complexity that most teams are not equipped to manage
When we succeed, trillions of dollars of compute will flow through Andromeda. Builders get capacity when they need it. Providers get a reliable way to monetize, operate, and finance infrastructure at scale. Capital gets an easy way to deploy, hedge, and underwrite.
In five years, Andromeda won't just participate in the AI infrastructure market. We will shape it.
The Compute Procurement Lead is responsible for sourcing GPU capacity globally on behalf of Andromeda and its customers. The role spans the full supply ecosystem — neoclouds, hyperscalers, colocation operators, data centers, OEMs, and chip vendors including NVIDIA — and covers origination, technical evaluation, and commercial negotiation. You will be responsible for directing up to billions of dollars in compute spend.
This is a technical and commercial role in equal measure. You will evaluate capacity from the GPU to the data center, negotiate cost and terms with suppliers, and travel to sites to assess readiness in person. You will work with compute pricing daily and are expected to develop and defend a view on where the market is heading.
What You’ll Own● Global Capacity Sourcing: Find and secure GPU capacity worldwide across neoclouds, hyperscalers, colocation operators, data centers, and emerging providers. Build the pipeline before demand shows up, and keep a live picture of what is available, where, and when.
● Supplier & Ecosystem Relationships: Own relationships across the supply chain — neocloud operators, hyperscalers, colocation and data center operators, OEMs and integrators, and chip vendors including NVIDIA. Manage allocation conversations and roadmap access, and be the person suppliers call first when capacity frees up.
● Technical Evaluation: Assess capacity from the GPU to the data center: hardware generation and SKU, rack and node configuration, interconnect fabric, storage, power density, cooling, and network topology. Know what a configuration will actually deliver on a real workload, not what the spec sheet claims.
● Cost Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers — GPU-hour rates, capacity commitments, deposits and payment timing, SLAs, and remedies. You will direct up to billions of dollars in compute spend, where every point negotiated compounds across the platform.
● Site Evaluation & Travel: Fly to sites and evaluate them in person. Verify power, cooling, deployment readiness, and operator competence, and translate what you see into a clear go/no-go and a defensible price.
● Market Pricing: Live in compute pricing daily. Track rates by GPU generation, region, and contract term, understand what is moving them, and make sure Andromeda is never the last to know.
● Compute Market Thesis: Build and defend a view on where the compute market is heading — supply coming online, next-generation platform transitions, power constraints, regional and policy shifts — and turn it into concrete sourcing decisions.
What We’re Looking For● Deep GPU & Data Center Fluency: You understand GPUs, racks, interconnect, power, and cooling well enough to evaluate a cluster on your own judgment. You can read a configuration and tell whether it will train what the customer says it will.
● Sourcing & Negotiation Track Record: Experience sourcing scarce, expensive capacity or hardware and negotiating it hard. You have carried significant spend and closed against real constraints.
● Market Instinct: You follow pricing closely and form independent views. You can explain why a rate moved and what it implies for the next six months.
● Willingness to Travel: You’ll be on the road regularly, often internationally and often on short notice. You see site visits as the highest-signal part of the job, not a chore.
● Commercial Judgment: Comfortable with unit economics, TCO, and contract structure. You know when to move fast on capacity and when the price implies something is wrong.
● Build Orientation: You’d rather create the process than inherit one. You thrive in a lean, high-trust team with direct leadership access and real autonomy.
Strong Candidates May Have● Neocloud or hyperscaler capacity experience: You’ve sat on the supply side and know how these operators actually plan, price, and deliver.
● NVIDIA or OEM allocation relationships: Experience managing allocation, forecasting, or partner standing directly with a chip vendor or tier-1 OEM.
● Data center operations background: Hands-on familiarity with power, cooling, and deployment readiness — enough to spot a site that won’t make its date.
● Commodity or energy market experience: Background in a market where physical delivery, scarcity, and price discovery all had to be handled at once.
Why You’ll Love It Here● Capacity sourcing is the core of Andromeda’s edge — what you secure determines what the entire platform can sell.
● You’ll see the global supply picture across dozens of providers and hardware generations, a vantage point almost no one else in the market has.
● Small, senior team with direct access to leadership, short decision paths, and genuine ownership over the outcome.
● Comprehensive benefits for you and your dependents, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and unlimited PTO
