Job Description Summary
The Client Trade Operations Consultant is responsible for supporting Portfolio Management & Trading into NTAM common, collective, and mutual funds as a member of the Client Trade team. Ensure cash flow data on all PM tools is accurate. Perform all investment related validations, including pre trade and post trade oversight between clients and Portfolio Management. Responsible for the intraday trade request process and intraday oversight of issue resolution. Perform ad hoc maintenance of client accounts and user access.
Responsibilities Include:
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
Delivers a work product that requires less revision
Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
Necessary Knowledge & Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Technical skills / systems knowledge is required
Necessary Experience and Education
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred. Related Industry qualification is required / preferred
3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Salary Range:
$66,700 - 113,300 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
