West Monroe is seeking a entry-level Data & Analytics Consultant for our Technology & Experience (TechEx) practice. As a Consultant, you will help our clients unlock value from their data. A Data & Analytics Consultant is expected to showcase business acumen as well as technical problem-solving skills. The role requires understanding of business processes, background in data analysis, and skills in data structures and querying. 

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing, presenting to, and working alongside client counterparts, including client executives 
  • Understanding the needs of organizations in order to intelligently recommend solutions 
  • Collaborating with West Monroe project team members 
  • Taking initiative to complete project tasks with management oversight 
  • Assessing and documenting client business processes 
  • Gathering and defining business requirements 
  • Performing database development and scripting (SQL, Python, and other similar languages)  
  • Querying data in order to produce useful analysis and insights 
  • Developing with data management and integration tools, including ETL 
  • Designing and developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) 
  • Being an active participant in West Monroe’s culture, supporting and leading events 
  • Taking entrepreneurial ownership of the practice by contributing to the development of approaches, methodologies, and solutions for client engagements 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or in progress to complete your degree with anticipated graduation of May 2025 
    • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science
  • 0 – 2 years of experience
  • Experience writing SQL queries related to data manipulation strategies
  • Experience with Programming (Python or similar)
  • Experience with Reporting and Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) 
  • Exposure to Data Warehousing Concepts (entity relationships, primary/foreign keys, data modeling, etc.) and Tools (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.)  
  • Exposure to Data Integration or Data Science Tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Talend, etc.)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation  
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Passion for investigating data to identify useful patterns and insights
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to work with client representatives at all levels
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, motivated, and positive team builder
  • Ability to travel up to 30 to 50% 
  • Hybrid role, 2x per week in the office 

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
