Job Summary
We are seeking a Consultant II to support the delivery of financial advisory services to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). In this role, you will work alongside senior consultants and client finance leaders to support financial operations, improve organizational performance, and help ensure compliance with industry standards. Through financial analysis, operational assessments, and client collaboration, you will contribute to solutions that strengthen the financial health and sustainability of FQHC organizations.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Analyze FQHC financial and operational data to identify trends, performance indicators, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support assessments of finance department performance using KPIs, benchmarks, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to enhance financial operations, revenue cycle performance, cash flow, and reporting processes.
  • Identify operational and financial process gaps and recommend practical solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support client engagements related to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and accounting operations.
  • Develop knowledge of FQHC payment models, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver project work, maintain timelines, and achieve engagement objectives.
  • Assist with the configuration, optimization, and reporting of financial systems, EHRs, and accounting platforms.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships through responsive communication, professionalism, and high-quality service.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related healthcare, finance, accounting, revenue cycle, or consulting experience, or equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.
  • Healthcare finance experience required; FQHC experience preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial operations, budgeting, reimbursement systems, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and related business applications.
  • Experience with healthcare EHRs and ERPs such as Epic, NextGen, eCW, Athena, Sage Intacct, MIP, Great Plains, or QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client service mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members while delivering work within established timelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $60,000 to $81,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
