Consultant, IT Project ManagerROLE TITLEIT Project ManagerROLE LOCATION(S)Alpharetta, GAROLE SUMMARYThe IT Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of midsized to large IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to manage requirements, resources, risks, and delivery across the full project lifecycle while adhering to established governance, SDLC, and PMLC standards.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end‑to‑end project management activities for complex IT initiatives, including application, integration, and AI‑enabled solutions.
  • Manage daytoday execution across all project phases to ensure timely and costeffective delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and communication plans.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical deliverables.
  • Secure and coordinate project resources and funding in collaboration with leadership and functional managers.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular status reporting to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans to leadership and executives.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with governance, audit, and internal control requirements.
  • Identify and manage crossproject dependencies and resolve conflicts proactively.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI trends, and assess applicability to project delivery.
  • Perform additional projectrelated duties as required.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives.
  • 4+ years of recent experience in P&C Insurance and M&A.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage mid‑sized to large IT projects.
  • Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Handson experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technology deliverables.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise IT systems and integration patterns.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrixed, crossfunctional environment.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and proactively address project risks.
  • Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder relationshipbuilding skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S. degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.  
  • CPCU designation or advanced degree is a plus.

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION
This position is hybrid and will require employee to be onsite in Alpharetta, GA 3-4 days per week.
