Vizient’s Sg2 Life Sciences & Industry (LSI) Consulting team partners with medical device, medical technology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare services companies to help solve complex growth, go-to-market and other high priority strategic challenges using analytics, market research and a deep understanding of how providers evaluate, adopt, and utilize clinical products, solutions and services.

Summary:

In this role, you will lead client-facing consulting engagements for Vizient’s Sg2 Life Sciences & Industry Consulting team, partnering with medical device, medical technology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare services organizations to address complex growth, go-to-market, and strategic challenges. You will serve as the primary engagement leader, translating analytics and market research into actionable insights for executive audiences, while guiding teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and impactful solutions that support improved performance across the US healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end consulting engagements as the engagement manager.

  • Translate statements of work into clear workplans, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Plan and manage complex projects and work streams, proactively identifying risks and tradeoffs.

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client point of contact, managing expectations, cadence, and delivery quality.

  • Facilitate regular client meetings to drive decision making and resolve risks.

  • Develop and refine executive-ready presentations, reports, and storyboards.

  • Translate complex analyses into clear insights, implications, and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with data and analytics partners to define methodologies and interpret results.

  • Design and lead client workshops and executive report-outs.

  • Coach and develop team members through clear expectations and ongoing feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience leading management consulting or strategy engagements within life sciences or healthcare services.

  • Deep knowledge of medical devices, medical technology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare services industries.

  • Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and ambiguous problem statements.

  • Strong analytical skills, including oversight of financial, segmentation, and scenario-based models.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance analytical rigor and deliverable quality.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
