Plan, write, and optimize SEO-focused content (blogs, white papers, case studies, email, web, social) to drive awareness, engagement, and demand. Maintain editorial calendar, interview SMEs, produce sales/marketing collateral, measure and refine content performance, proofread/edit for brand consistency, and collaborate within a fast-paced marketing team.
The Content Marketing Specialist focuses on driving awareness, engagement and demand generation. This role will be responsible for planning, crafting and optimizing creative and compelling content that engages key stakeholders. This individual will be a strong storyteller with a data driven mindset, capable of translating complicated ideas into simple and easy-to-understand concepts that can be integrated across a variety of mediums.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain comprehensive editorial and content calendar to effectively increase brand awareness and reinforce brand value with employees, clients and prospects.
- Conduct interviews with internal subject matter experts and utilize third-party industry sources to create content.
- Plan, write and produce high-quality SEO/AEO/GEO optimized content including blog articles, case studies, white papers, eBooks, web pages, email and social media.
- Create and share high quality content for sales and marketing materials. Content includes employee and client communications such as email, social, web, sell sheets, case studies etc.
- Measure, report and refine content as necessary to increase effectiveness of search rankings, engagement and conversions.
- Proofread and edit the content of others to ensure that it is consistent with brand messaging and drives the intended results.
- Contribute to a positive, creative, fast-paced and innovative marketing team environment.
- Perform other duties of the department as assigned.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of SEM, SEO tools and best practices and Google Analytics to optimize web content.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and web content management systems (WordPress is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong project management experience, detail-oriented, organized and deadline driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or Marketing required.
- 5+ years of content development and copywriting experience.
- Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a strong plus.
