Let’s get to business! The Policy Communications Analyst is responsible for developing policy-related communications from subject matter experts, establishing and maintaining well-written articles, general communications, and internal alignment of policy and procedure. This information will be regularly leveraged by agents at our global sites to provide an excellent customer experience. Responsibilities in this role will include design, maintenance, and governance of 3-5 knowledge bases as well as dissemination of weekly policy newsletters, general copywriting, and/or product or feature implementation initiatives. Our ideal candidate must be an organized and diligent self-starter, who independently manages time effectively and is eager to learn. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to working in close alignment with cross-departmental stakeholders, can translate technical information into easily understood processes, and is committed to delivering the highest quality communications within narrow deadlines.

What you do at Avant

  • Effectively collaborate with and/or interview key business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, translating technical information to operationalize policies and procedures
  • Produce high-quality documentation and maintain the integrity of documentation ecosystem(s) while adhering to an asset governance process
  • Audit and analyze existing content assets, proposing and implementing improvements for consistent policy adherence
  • Continuously improve Knowledge Management and Internal Communications processes to enhance audience awareness and understanding
  • Hold regular policy review meetings to proactively address unarticulated policy needs
  • Edit and adapt materials and requests submitted by technical and non-technical contributors to ensure cohesive messaging and consistency of communications
  • Manage complex communications projects giving consideration to general information infrastructure and Knowledge Management integrity
  • Disseminate policy communications on a weekly publishing schedule to ensure real-time accuracy of policy and procedure
  • Field and manage ad hoc requests from various stakeholders, assess impacts, level of urgency, and ensure appropriate approvals obtained prior to information dissemination
  • Initiate and uphold formal review processes for communications deliverables and information architecture for increased efficiency and scalability
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary

What you are a fit for Avant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Visual Communications, or Technical Writing or related
  • Three years experience in a related role or field
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, high level of quality, and accuracy
  • Experience prioritizing and managing shifting priorities with a high volume of requests from various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and effectively handle various tasks under pressure
  • Proven working knowledge of leading-edge knowledge management platforms, technologies, and related tools
  • Focus on scale, integrity, and diligence to ensure accuracy across multiple channels
  • Excellent organization, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using a ticketing system preferred
  • Experience using a project management system preferred

  • Startup Experience
  • Atlassian Suite experience preferred
  • Internal Communications and/or Employee Engagement Project Experience

It starts with reviewing my project prioritization list to determine whether anything should be modified (Legal follows the agile methodology for project management).
