Sr Learning Content Manager

What you'll do in the role:

You will join our team of learning designers and technologists in a profitable, growing company designing and building out amazing learning experiences for learners of all types. In this role, you'll get to work with our customers to assess, plan, and structure their online courses, and then collaborate with our learning technologists to create and deliver more engaging, interactive learning experiences with real user impact. You’ll be a critical part of a great team of passionate learning content managers, learning technologists, and content conversion reviewers in a fun and engaging environment.

Some challenges you’ll tackle:

  • Work with new enterprise customers to assess, plan, and structure online courses, and then efficiently ingest and design their instructional content in the BenchPrep platform 
  • Create learning-science informed deliverables, such as Course Design Overviews and other learning solution documentation, to detail content structuring and migration recommendations in the BenchPrep platform
  • Work with Customer Success and our enterprise customers in helping to build out or update existing customer programs, providing strategic thought leadership on how to best evolve their programs from a digital-first content perspective 
  • Project manage the content workstream of the course creation process, including building and maintaining schedules and managing vendors, contractors, and freelancers to complete course build and enhancement work
  • Collaborate with Sales to analyze existing course content assets from prospective enterprise customers and provide an assessment on the content’s fit and readiness for use within the BenchPrep platform 
  • Act as content consultant supporting the Sales team for prospect meetings as needed, addressing prospect’s content concerns, representing content-related services and the course build process, and speaking to how content can best shine in the BenchPrep platform
  • Cultivate and articulate the learning science behind the BenchPrep platform 
  • Be a learning advocate internally and a learning experience partner to BenchPrep customers: stay abreast of and leverage industry advancements to deliver exceptional learning experiences in every product. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan for course creation and new platform features, problem solve when issues arise, and execute solutions while maintaining clear communication 
  • Use BenchPrep course data to make informed, data-backed recommendations and reports for course improvements
  • Mentor and help train non-senior members of the team. 
  • Perform thorough quality assurance (QA) for new courses if needed.

Skills and Experiences We Value**

  • Have familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) and a content management system (CMS)
  • Experience with MathML/HTML/CSS 
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • People management experience
  • Experience with teaching, instructional design, or working in academic publishing
  • 2+ years in client (or author) relationship management
  • Experience working interdepartmentally, ideally with Product/Engineering and Sales
  • Data literacy
  • WCAG awareness
  • Have a very strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Have English fluency and excellent written and verbal skills
  • Be curious about ever-changing learning technology, learning design, and how to better engage and impact learners

About the team:

Our Professional Services team is focused on delivering optimal learning experiences for our customer’s learners. We do this by collaborating extensively with our customers and understanding how their instructional content aligns with their learning objectives and how it can be its most engaging and interactive. The team comprises of learning content managers, learning technologists, and content conversion reviewers, all working very closely and collaboratively both in launching new educational programs as well as in growing existing ones. We serve as an extension of our customer’s operations team, with a goal of making them and their programs more effective.
