About The Role

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced writer to support the marketing team. This role has an expected commitment of 18-24 hours per week. We’re seeking someone who can collaborate closely with the marketing team, deliver high-quality content on tight timelines, and help maintain consistency in voice and messaging across projects.


Responsibilities

  • Write, revise, and proofread content across formats, including email campaigns, newsletters, blog articles, social copy, sales collateral, downloadables, product copy and campaigns, and thought-leadership pieces. 
  • Ensure all content reflects NOCD’s brand voice and conforms to style guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and subject-matter experts to translate complex healthcare topics into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences and stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help shape storytelling frameworks for new campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch campaigns, giving final polish and copy support as necessary. 
  • Manage multiple assignments at once, hitting deadlines with review-ready copy, and remaining available for editorial feedback as needed. 


Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of professional writing or copywriting experience (journalism, agency, healthcare preferred). 
  • Writing samples demonstrating versatility. 
  • Strong understanding of the lived experiences of individuals impacted by OCD, to write accurately and empathetically about OCD and evidence-based treatment.
  • Ability to make complex technical or scientific material engaging and accessible. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and consistency. 
  • Collaborative, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. 
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently, often under tight or shifting deadlines.
  • Comfortable taking feedback, making revisions, or restarting projects. 
  • Experience following brand voice and tone guidelines. 
  • Familiarity with content marketing tools (Google Docs, ClickUp, Braze, etc.).
