Job Description:

The Mars Snacking North America Controller influences accountability, performance and controls/governance through the North America Controllership team as well as through each of the S&F functional business partners (i.e. Demand Finance Director and Supply Finance Director). This associate must work closely with the MGS-F/ICTC functional leads to drive quality performance and continuous improvement and must maintain strong relationships with both the Mars Snacking Global Controllership team to ensure appropriate interpretation and application of accounting guidelines for a fast-paced business environment. This role is also responsible for the delivering clean external and internal audits.

What are we looking for?

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related is required.
  • Graduate level degree (Preferred)
  • CPA or other professional certification (Preferred)
  • 10+ years of accounting or financial audit experience (Required)
  • Consumer Product Goods industry experience (Required)
  • SAP Experience or Equivalent ERP system (Preferred)
  • Experience leading teams – talent development and succession planning
  • Expertise in technical accounting, financial process and internal controls
  • Scale and complexity in CPG industry

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead a diverse team of Accounting & Reporting associates
  • Perform periodic business performance reviews to ascertain the quality of the financial statements
  • Implement new accounting standards or new Finance Manual guidelines cross-functionally and/or ensure appropriate accounting treatment within the region
  • Ensure appropriate tone and the top for governance and appropriate controls execution in the region
  • Certification and reporting of financials and controls execution for Senior Management at Mars, Inc. and Mars Snacking Global;
  • Collaborate with PwC and Internal Audit for efficient and effective audit results;
  • Provide valuable insights to improve processes and operate more efficiently/effectively;
  • Performance management between MGS-F/ICTC and the region including driving accountability and continuous improvement for both stakeholders
  • Member of the region’s Finance Leadership Team

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 169,840.00 - USD 233,530.00
