Created in July 2021 as a result of combination of Kuecker Logistics Group, PULSE Integration and QC Software by private equity firm Ares Management, Kuecker Pulse Integration (KPI) is a systems integrator that seeks out leading technologies within the areas of material handling equipment and information systems and combines them with proven design and operational strategies to help improve our customers’ operations. We are equipment agnostic, and our solutions incorporate leading technologies such as mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), automated guided vehicles (AGV), goods-to-person technology, sortation, and conveyor. KPI currently has approximately 300 FTEs and $250m revenue with growth expected to double in size (at a minimum) through organic and acquisitive activities.

As a Controls Engineer you will participate in electrical control design and commissioning. Utilize standards in electrical controls design, PLC programming and commissioning developed by Kuecker Pulse Integration. Comfortable with hands-on design and product development, supporting customers and executing a business strategy. Thrive in fast-paced uncertain environments

  • Follow all safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE and be safety first oriented.
  • Follow Standards set forth by Kuecker Pulse Integration.
  • Understand project schedules and scope of work.
  • Understand project requirements, specifications, and equipment functionality.
  • Contribute to the team and be capable of reacting to change.
  • Communicate well and often with Project Managers and/or Controls Manager.
  • Complete defined tests from Kuecker Pulse Integration standard testing documents and check sheets.
  • Communicate well with customers during testing processes.
  • Ensure quality of field installations.
  • All other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements
  • B.S. Electrical Engineering or Trade School equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering or Combination of Education and Experience equivalent.
  • Capable of managing stressful situations and maintain strong analytical, verbal and written communication.
  • 1-2 Years controls field installation/commissioning.
  • Experience in following and executing multiple tasks, ability to keep track of multiple tasks and complete them all with updates and reports communicated where appropriate.
  • Knowledge of designing/commissioning/troubleshooting controls systems (i.e. Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Square D, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls networks (i.e. Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.) is a plus.
  • 60% Travel
