Requirements

  • Lead month end close process including preparing journal entries, reviewing overhead accounts and preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Review revenue calculations at a project level and reconcile jobs in process

  • Mentor and assist several accounting team members

  • Assist with Management reporting and variance analysis

  • Oversee payment runs, expense coding and credit card reconciliations

  • Provide support to office managers, project managers, and project service coordinators

  • Assist with the annual financial audit

  • Coordinate with our tax accountants the preparation of tax information, manage sales and use tax reporting and various tax compliance reports

  • Assist with the annual FAR qualification audit

  • Review procedures for payables and receivables processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 7-10 years of relevant corporate accounting and/or audit experience

  • Strong Excel skills, including Vlookup and Pivot tables

  • Experience using Deltek Vision a plus

  • Experience with tax accounting and reporting

  • Strong understanding of project‑based financial management, including job costing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Prior experience with an engineering, architecture, or construction firm a plus

Work Environment
