Role/Department: Corporate Communications Operations Specialist/Corporate Communications

The Corporate Communications Operations Specialist supports the enablement, delivery and administration of enterprise internal communications channels. This role manages communications technology, publishes and distributes content, maintains digital communication tools, creates visual assets, provides user support and training, and develops reporting that helps measure channel effectiveness and audience engagement.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage, administer and maintain internal communications platforms and tools.

• Manage email distributions, audience lists, system access, and delivery processes.

• Provide user training, technical support, and troubleshooting for communications technologies.

• Build, test, edit, and distribute enterprise communications across multiple channels.

• Review, edit, approve, and publish content for internal communication channels.

• Maintain intranet site navigation, featured content, alerts, and other digital channel components.

• Coordinate updates to enterprise and location-specific digital signage.

• Support the implementation, governance, and adoption of communications technologies and standards.

• Produce and distribute recurring corporate newsletters, including formatting, quality assurance, and publication.

• Create, edit, and resize visual assets and templates using design tools such as Figma.

• Partner with business stakeholders to develop communication materials that align with brand standards and channel requirements.

• Maintain communication resources, templates, and content repositories.

• Compile, analyze, and report on communications performance metrics, including email engagement, intranet activity, newsletter results, and event participation.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, user experience, operational efficiency, and channel effectiveness.

• Collaborate across Corporate Communications, Technology, Workplace Services, Human Resources, and business teams to support strategic communications initiatives.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of internal communications channels, publishing platforms, and email distribution systems.

• Experience supporting intranet, newsletter, digital signage, or communications technology platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer support skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and communications technologies.

• Experience creating and editing visual assets using Figma or comparable design tools.

• Ability to analyze engagement data and translate findings into actionable insights.

• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

Salary Range:

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
